Originally from Denver, CO, Jim has been in and around golf and the golf business for over forty years. Not only does he love the game, he truly values the entire club experience and ambiance. While he recently managed a 45-hole daily fee club in Las Vegas, Jim has spent the majority of his career in the private club industry, highlighted by 15 years at Talking Rock Golf Club in Prescott, AZ. Jim has always embraced the concept of continued improvement at each club he has served. It is in his DNA to mentor and train staff to create a service-oriented culture. He is also a creative thinker and looks for ways to continually enhance the member experience. Jim played NAIA golf at Western State College in Gunnison, CO where his team was inducted into the WSC Hall of Fame. He now resides just outside of Nashville with his wife, Rose.
Kerry Zebick Director of Sales and Marketing
Show Bio
Kerry grew up in Tullahoma, TN. She came to Legends after residing in Cincinnati, Ohio for almost 20 years. Kerry played collegiate golf for the University of South Carolina and the University of Cincinnati. She is a former Communications Manager for the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association, former USGA intern, and current representative for women's golf in the University of Cincinnati Hall of Champions. Kerry is an avid golfer and enjoys playing tennis, platform tennis, and basketball, as well. She is also a fan of fitness and is a certified yoga instructor. Kerry started working at VLC in April of 2013 as the Membership Sales Manager. She was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing in fall of 2014.
Joe Hallett Director of Instruction
Show Bio
Joe Hallett, the Director of Instruction at Vanderbilt Legends Club, is the 2018 recipient of the Horton Smith Award, the PGA of America. Presented annually since 1976, the Horton Smith Award recognizes individuals who have developed and enriched education opportunities at the state, sectional and national levels. Hallett is this year’s national award winner. He was the Tennessee section’s Horton Smith Award winner in 2012 and PGA Teacher of the Year in 2013. He has a quarter century of experience as a PGA Professional and has worked closely with a number of high-profile players on the LPGA Tour, including Stacy Lewis, who was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2012, Inbee Park and Lizette Salas. Hallett served as lead instructor at the PGA Center for Learning and Performance in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and was director and chairman of the 2011 PGA Teaching Coaching Summit. He also hosted and produced “The Golf Show” on Sportstalk Radio Network.
Ed Free Business Manager

Ed has been with Vanderbilt Legends Club since 1994. As the Club Business Manager, he has been an integral part of all accounting and finance functions relative to the operations of the club. Prior to joining VLC he served as Controller and Assistant Manager with Davidson Hotel Management Company from 1986 to 1994. Originally from Asheville, NC he has lived in the Franklin area for 20+ years.
Micah Hicks Director Of Golf
Show Bio
Micah is from Cheraw, SC and moved to Middle Tennessee after living in the Carolinas for most of his life. He played collegiate golf at Furman University and lived in Greenville SC for 13 years where he met his wife Ginger. Micah and Ginger have a son, Micah William, and twins, Marion and Oliver. Prior to Legends Club he was the Head Golf Professional at Sage Valley Golf Club in Aiken, SC and then the Director of Golf at Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club in Cashiers, NC. In his spare time, Micah enjoys sporting events and attending concerts.
Micah has been an instructor since he turned pro in 1997 and has instructed all levels, from PGA Tour winners to complete beginners. “I am personally invested in the success of my students. Watching their growth as players and helping them reach their potential is incredibly gratifying.”
Logan Almond Catering & Events Manager

Logan joined the Legends Club team in September 2019. Logan is a former high school English teacher and Varsity basketball and softball coach. She is a graduate of Wofford College where she played Division 1 collegiate basketball. An Atlanta Native, Logan moved to Franklin in 2015 with her husband, Turner. Outside of work, Logan owns a portrait photography company and enjoys spending time traveling and taking in the outdoors with her husband and their German-Shorthaired Pointer, Nash.

Jarrod Kepple Director of Golf Course Maintenance
Show Bio
A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Jarrod has worked at Vanderbilt Legends Club for over 15 years. Prior to becoming the Superintendent, Jarrod began working as an equipment operator and advanced to Assistant Superintendent under Joe Kennedy. He was also past president and current member of Middle Tennessee Golf Course Superintendents Association. Jarrod has a wonderful wife and 2 kids and currently lives in Smyrna.
Kass Kovalcheck Head Golf Professional
Show Bio
Kass was born and raised in Nashville. He has worked at the Vanderbilt Legends Club since 2005. He started out as an Assistant Professional before being promoted to Head Professional in 2018. Before coming to the club, Kass was an Assistant Professional at The University Club and Charwood Country Club in Columbia, South Carolina. Kass with his wife Amy, and their dog Carter reside in Franklin.
Theresa Davis Accounting Manager
Show Bio
Theresa is an Alabama native, and moved to the Brentwood area in 1990. She has been a part of the Legends Club Team since 2005, when she began as the Assistant Controller. Theresa enjoys trips to the beach, spending time with her yellow lab, Georgia, Alabama football games (Roll Tide), and traveling internationally with her six grandchildren. One of Theresa’s favorite quotes is “Work hard, play harder and make your mark along the way.”
Hope Biggs Member Services Coordinator

Hope joined Legends Club in February of 2021 as an Assistant Golf Professional and transitioned into the Member Services Position in May of 2022. Originally from Clinton, MS., Hope attended William Carey University where she won 5 collegiate tournaments. After college, she gained status on The LPGA’s Symetra Tour for 2017 & 2018 seasons. In 2017, Hope moved to the Nashville area and accepted a position as Lead Golf Instructor at Topgolf. She has also been an instructor at McCabe Golf Course. Hope loves sharing her passion for the game with girls and other women looking to hone their skills, as well as elevating the member experience with social media interaction, innovative internal marketing, and planning member social and golf events. Hope lives in Franklin with her Dog, “Bogey”. She loves all things sports, food, movies, books and music.
