David Latture General Manager
With over 25 years in the hospitality industry, David brings a wealth of management and leadership experience. He has a strong focus on customer service and understands the importance of providing a first-class experience for all members and guests. Prior to joining the VLC team as General Manager, he served as the General Manager of the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center-Murfreesboro and the Embassy Suites-Cool Springs for more than 10 years. Being from the Franklin area and a member of Vanderbilt Legends Club, he is aware of the great reputation and impacts the Club has on the local community.
Kerry Zebick Director of Sales and Marketing
Kerry grew up in Tullahoma, TN. She came to Legends after residing in Cincinnati, Ohio for almost 20 years. Kerry played collegiate golf for the University of South Carolina and the University of Cincinnati. She is a former Communications Manager for the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association, former USGA intern, and current representative for women's golf in the University of Cincinnati Hall of Champions. Kerry is an avid golfer and enjoys playing tennis, platform tennis, and basketball, as well. She is also a fan of fitness and is a certified yoga instructor. Kerry started working at VLC in April of 2013 as the Membership Sales Manager. She was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing in fall of 2014.
Joe Hallett Director of Instruction
Joe Hallett, the Director of Instruction at Vanderbilt Legends Club, is the 2018 recipient of the Horton Smith Award, the PGA of America. Presented annually since 1976, the Horton Smith Award recognizes individuals who have developed and enriched education opportunities at the state, sectional and national levels. Hallett is this year’s national award winner. He was the Tennessee section’s Horton Smith Award winner in 2012 and PGA Teacher of the Year in 2013. He has a quarter century of experience as a PGA Professional and has worked closely with a number of high-profile players on the LPGA Tour, including Stacy Lewis, who was ranked No. 1 in the world in 2012, Inbee Park and Lizette Salas. Hallett served as lead instructor at the PGA Center for Learning and Performance in Port St. Lucie, Fla. and was director and chairman of the 2011 PGA Teaching Coaching Summit. He also hosted and produced “The Golf Show” on Sportstalk Radio Network.
Ed Free Business Manager
Ed has been with Vanderbilt Legends Club since 1994. As the Club Business Manager, he has been an integral part of all accounting and finance functions relative to the operations of the club. Prior to joining VLC he served as Controller and Assistant Manager with Davidson Hotel Management Company from 1986 to 1994. Originally from Asheville, NC he has lived in the Franklin area for 20+ years.
Jill Russell Human Resource Manager
Jill Russell is the Human Resource Manager, with responsibility for employee relations, compensation and benefit administration, payroll processing, recruitment, legal compliance, and training and development. Prior to joining Vanderbilt Legends Club in 2011, Jill worked for John Q. Hammons Hotels and Embassy Suites Hotels for 10 years as Area Human Resource Director and served as a member of their HR Task Force. Jill is a West Virginia native, but moved to Tennessee in 1995 and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She resides in Culleoka with her husband and two sons.
Amanda Crawford Catering & Events Manager
Amanda is from Baton Rouge, LA but has lived in Middle Tennessee since 2015 when she began working for Vanderbilt Legends Club. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Merchandising and Consumer Studies with minors in Photography and Entrepreneurship in 2014 from Louisiana Tech University. Prior to working at Legends she worked events at Charleston Place Hotel, Houmas House Plantation, and planned philanthropy events to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network with Phi Mu Sorority. Amanda lives in Columbia with her 5 rescue animals. In her spare time she volunteers at the animal shelter, brings her dog to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital to visit patients, and loves to travel to new places.
Debra Gleaves Food & Beverage Director
Tim Conner Executive Chef
Tim was born and raised in Franklin. He has worked at the Legends Club since 2006, formerly as Sous Chef and as Executive Chef since 2009. He lives in Franklin with his wife Karen, son Elias, and their dog Phoebe. When time allows, he can be found fly fishing the Caney Fork for trout or hiking with his family.
Micah Hicks Director Of Golf
Micah is from Cheraw, SC and comes to Middle Tennessee after living in Cashiers NC for the last 8 years. Micah played collegiate golf at Furman University and lived in Greenville SC for 13 years where he met his wife Ginger. Micah and Ginger have a son, Micah William, and twins, Marion and Oliver. Before coming to Vanderbilt Legends Micah was the Head Professional at Sage Valley Golf Club in Aiken SC and then the Director of Golf at Mountaintop Golf and Lake Club in Cashiers NC. In his spare time, Micah enjoys sporting events and attending concerts.
Jarrod Kepple Director of Golf Course Maintenance
A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Jarrod has worked at Vanderbilt Legends Club for over 15 years. Prior to becoming the Superintendent, Jarrod began working as an equipment operator and advanced to Assistant Superintendent under Joe Kennedy. He was also past president and current member of Middle Tennessee Golf Course Superintendents Association. Jarrod has a wonderful wife and 2 kids and currently lives in Smyrna.
Kass Kovalcheck Head Golf Professional
Kass was born and raised in Nashville. He has worked at the Vanderbilt Legends Club since 2005. He started out as an Assistant Professional before being promoted to Head Professional in 2018. Before coming to the club, Kass was an Assistant Professional at The University Club and Charwood Country Club in Columbia, South Carolina. Kass with his wife Amy, and their dog Carter reside in Franklin.
Hannah Yurchak Executive Assistant
Hannah is from Lakeland, FL but has lived in Nashville since 2014. She formerly worked in the Food and Beverage department and is now in the Executive Assistant Position. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Central Florida. Hannah resides in East Nashville with her fiancé, Chance, and her dog, Layla. In her spare time, Hannah loves to kayak and hike and is a self-proclaimed “craft beer nerd.”
